Enmeshed with sleazeball lobbyist Jack Abramoff and either lying or completely out of control of his own staff, he can't raise money. At least one of his Democratic opponents, Jon Tester is being championed by netroots, and most likely can raise money.
Now, the Montana Democrats have launched an ad (viewable over at Crooks and Liars) to weaken him further for whoever the eventual Democratic nominee is.
What's the Republican response? Do they refute the charges, and defend their standard bearer in the marketplace of ideas? Why, no, perish the thought. That's what we have lawyers for...
They threaten a frivolous lawsuit to try to intimidate station managers from airing the spot.
It's hard to hide all that Yellow behind a lawyerly skirt, but they're going to give it a go. Utter Cowards, just like their Chimperial Leader, they'd rather look like heros than do anything remotely heroic. Might break a nail.
