A Progressive Warrior Queen-Isn't That an Oxymoron?

In case you don't know the story of Boadicea (Boudicca), in a nutshell it goes like this.

Boadicea's tribe, the Iceni, lived peacefully as a client tribe under Roman rule. After her husband's death corrupt Roman officials reneged on the agreement that left the Iceni in peace. When Boadicea, still the leader of her tribe, went to protest this, she was flogged and her daughters were raped before her eyes.

She returned to her tribe and raised a rebellion against the Romans that was short lived, brutal, and ended in her death.

Understand, I'm not looking to raze Colchester, or leave piles of bodies behind me. However, the Radical Right Religionists and the Corporate sponsors of the Chattel Society have declared war on us who are "others".

I say we fight back.  Right now, I'm fighting back primarily at Texas Kaos. Please come join me.

Listening to Iranian American Voices

posted Tuesday, 19 June 2007
The bloodthirsty fools who mired us in the Iraq Occupation hope to divert the political heat that ensued by beating the wardrums against Iran.

America will pay a terrible cost if they are successful, but we are not the only ones who will.

General Wes Clark's Securing America is trying to stem the tide.  The most recent "Clark Cast" is titled "Iranian Voices in America".

Please listen to them.  You'll get a more layered picture of Iran and its people.

The literacy rate in Iran, for example, is 86 percent, and the population is overwhelmingly young-having been born after the Iranian revolution.

They are politically sophisticated, and they are afraid of America. Who can blame them?

There is much at stake for all of us.

Please listen to these voices, and then do whatever you can to stop the Iran War that the Bushies think is the answer to all there political problems.

There is not enough blood to slake their thirst, nor  will their voracious appetite be sated with the bodies of the Iraqi and American dead-not to mention the mangled limbs of the wounded warriors treated like so many cellophane bags full of toy soldiers.

We must stop them.  Join Wes Clark in his mission to do so.

No one knows the price of war more than a soldier.
